Florida State continues to gain momentum in the recruitment of 5-star receiver Hykeem Williams.

Williams is set to announce his decision on Friday. The Seminoles have been battling Texas A&M — and a host of other programs — in his recruitment.

The Aggies entered this week as the favorite land Williams, but Florida State has been surging.

On Tuesday, national recruiting analyst Ryan Wright put in a Rivals forecast for the Seminoles.

247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong also seemed to be optimistic about FSU’s chances when addressing Williams’ recruitment on Tuesday.

“Florida State really has a lot of momentum in this recruitment. Even prior to the season, we said Florida State was in a good spot for Hykeem,” Wiltfong said. “There’s a lot of buzz with Hykeem and Florida State right now.”

Williams would become the highest-ranked player in Florida State’s 2023 recruiting class. He’s currently the No. 22 overall player and the No. 4 receiver in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Florida State does have a major proximity advantage over some of the other schools that Williams is considering. He’s from Fort Lauderdale and attends Stranahan High School.

Florida State is up to 15 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 19 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Williams is scheduled to announce his decision on Friday.
