Jacques Patrick, former Florida State RB, signs deal with new NFL team
Jacques Patrick, a former Florida State running back who played from 2015-2019, was signed to a 1-year deal by the Denver Broncos Tuesday. This will be his 5th different stop in the NFL: he also recently played for the Bengals, 49ers, Ravens and Panthers.
Patrick went undrafted in 2019 out of Florida State and was not signed to a practice squad as an undrafted agent. Instead, Patrick pivoted to the XFL, earning a spot with the Tampa Bay Vipers. He returned to the XFL after stints with 4 separate NFL squads in 2021 alone. This past season, Patrick played for the San Antonio Brahmas.

And Patrick wasn’t just a backup in the XFL. He was the league’s 2nd leading rusher, totaling 445 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. On top of that, he added 30 receptions for 238 yards through the air.
