Jordan Travis made history in Florida State’s 27-20 win over Miami on Saturday night.

Travis became the first quarterback in FSU history to defeat Miami three times in consecutive seasons. That stat comes courtesy of ABC’s broadcast.

Travis also led Florida State to wins over the Canes in 2022 and 2021. Last season was another landmark win for the Noles as they won 45-3 on the road in Hard Rock Stadium.

Travis was solid on Saturday night vs. the Canes, completing 19-of-31 passes for 265 yards and 1 touchdown. However, it was FSU’s defense and special teams that were most dominant in the win over Miami.

Keon Coleman was a big-time contributor in this game. He had 4 catches for 24 yards and 1 touchdown on the night. That score, which put FSU up 27-133 with 11 minutes remaining, proved to be the difference in the game.

Coleman also set up that score with a 57-yard punt return to give the Noles excellent field position.

Defensively, Kalen DeLoach led the way with 10 tackles and 2 sacks. FSU’s defense as a whole produced 7 tackles for loss and 8 pass breakups on the night. Miami quarterbacks Emory Williams and Tyler Van Dyke combined to complete just 10-of-30 pass attempts.

Florida State will host North Alabama in Week 12.
