Jordan Travis moves into top 3 of national QB power rankings
Jordan Travis moved into the top 3 of CBS Sports’ national quarterback power rankings.
On the list of quarterbacks, Travis checked in at No. 3. No. 1 Caleb Williams and No. 2 Max Duggan were the only other quarterbacks ranked ahead of Travis.
Williams and Duggan have their teams in the mix for the College Football Playoff. While Florida State is not in Playoff contention, Travis was instrumental in Florida State being ranked No. 13 in the latest Playoff rankings.
CBS Sports college football writer Tom Fornelli made the power rankings and explained why he placed Travis in the top 3:
“The first time I saw Jordan Travis play for Florida State, I won’t lie, my impression was that this guy would be fun at a Group of Five school but would have a hard time cutting it at a Power Five school. I’ll happily take that L because Travis has done nothing but get better, and he’s one of the most entertaining guys to watch every week.”
In Week 13, Travis passed for 270 yards and 1 touchdown in the 45-38 win over Florida. He added 2 rushing touchdowns vs. the Gators. On the season, Travis has thrown for 2,796 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions.
Florida State will enter its upcoming bowl game with a 9-3 record.
