Jordan Travis is having a career-year for Florida State this season.

The Seminoles quarterback led his team to a 4-0 record to start the season, and has continued to play well despite a three-game losing streak.

Overall, it’s been a resurgent year for Florida State in Year 3 under coach Mike Norvell. The Noles have a chance to win 8+ games in a season for the first time since 2016.

In an appearance on the Gramlich and Mac Lain podcast this week, Travis spoke about his relationship with Norvell.

“I love him a lot,” Travis said. “He’s kind of like my second dad. I’ve never had a coach that cares for me this much. He coaches me really hard at the end of the day but he loves me a lot. He cares about how I’m doing after the game, whether I played good or bad.

“I think that’s really special. Obviously not a lot of people see him. They see some guy that tries to act all tough all the time but he’s a sensitive guy and he cares about us a lot.”

Florida State is 4-3 on the year and is a heavy favorite at home against Georgia Tech this weekend. The Seminoles are likely to be favored in at least four of their remaining five games this season.

FSU and Georgia Tech kickoff at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
