Keon Coleman made history on Saturday afternoon with his second TD catch against Wake Forest.

Coleman scored late in the first half with a one-handed grab against Wake Forest cornerback Caelen Carson. This was Coleman’s second TD of the game and his ninth of the season.

With that score, Coleman became the first Florida State receiver since Greg Carr to record 9 receiving touchdowns in the first 8 games of a season. That stat comes via ABC’s broadcast. Carr accomplished the feat with 9 touchdowns in the first 6 games of the 2005 campaign.

Here’s a replay of Coleman’s one-handed TD:

Earlier in the game, Coleman beat Carson on a 29-yard TD down the left sideline for his first score of the game. That was his 8th touchdown of the season, which set a new career high for the ex-Michigan State Spartan.

Florida State is looking to snap a three-game losing streak vs. Wake Forest. The Noles haven’t won in Winston-Salem since the 2017 season.
