Keon Coleman shares appreciation for Mike Norvell, Florida State accepting him out of transfer portal
Keon Coleman had a Florida State debut that Seminole fans will remember for ages. The transfer wide receiver had 9 catches for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns in FSU’s blowout 45-24 win over No. 5 LSU in Orlando.
After the game, Coleman was asked what he is grateful for. The former Michigan State wideout expressed gratitude for landing with Mike Norvell’s program after entering the transfer portal.
“Really just being thankful for the opportunity; Coach saying yes to me, coming to a new school after the transfer portal, and believing in me,” Coleman said.
“I’m grateful for my teammates, getting to show them the hard work that we have been putting in the whole summer is paying off and getting to show a glimpse of what I can do, and not only me, just what our whole receiver room and the rest of the team can do.”
Norvell chimed in, “I’m grateful for you saying yes, too,” prompting chuckles from reporters.
FSU QB Jordan Travis completed 23-of-31 passes for 342 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception in the game. In addition to Coleman’s contributions, Johnny Wilson had 7 receptions for 104 yards. Coleman and Wilson look to be quite the 1-2 punch for the Seminole passing attack this season.
