Kirk Herbstreit is impressed with what he’s seen from Florida State so far this season.

Herbstreit was around the Noles for their Week 1 win over LSU in Orlando. Then, Florida State crushed Southern Miss at home in Week 2.

Ahead of FSU’s road game vs. Boston College on Saturday, Herbstreit spoke on College GameDay about the maturity that this FSU team is playing with.

“As [Mike Norvell] was building this, this was a Florida State team where one week they could beat anybody, the next week they could lose to anybody,” Herbstreit said. “This is a mature team to me. They’re on business trips. They’re on business trips every single Saturday. This is a real brand right now. For real. Not just this week ‘for real,’ all year. They’re going to be a handful in the ACC.”

Florida State does have a number of veteran players who have been through adversity in Tallahassee. The Seminoles failed to reach bowl eligibility in their first 2 seasons with Norvell at the helm.

Now, FSU has won 12 of its last 15 games dating back to last season. It will look to extend that stretch of good play vs. Boston College on Saturday afternoon.

Kickoff is at 12 p.m. ET on ABC.
