Kirk Herbstreit had nothing but positive things to say about Jordan Travis after he gave Florida State a chance to beat Clemson.

For Saturday night’s game, Herbstreit was on the ABC broadcast for the game as a color commentator. Florida State trailed 34-14 at the start of the 4th quarter.

But Travis played an important role in Florida State’s 4th quarter resurgence. His 2 passing touchdowns in the game happened in the 4th quarter.

Clemson was able to hold on for the win, but Herbstreit said he was impressed with the showing from Travis.

“Jordan Travis … So much respect for you, your heart, determination,” Herbstreit said. “Never giving up, scrambling. Making throws, making plays. Just willing your team back into that game to give yourselves a chance. I just appreciate you so much. I really love watching him play.”

Travis finished the game with 2 touchdowns and 254 passing yards. He completed 24 of 42 attempted passes. On the season, Travis has passed for 11 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, and 1,661 yards.

Florida State will return to action in Week 9 against Georgia Tech.
