LSU defensive lineman Alie Gaye has been ejected for targeting for an illegal hit on Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis.

Gaye lowered the crown of his helmet and launched himself at Travis as he threw his second touchdown pass of the game on Sunday night.

The play resulted in a 17-3 lead for the Seminoles and Ontaria Wilson’s second touchdown of the game.

LSU is already without star defensive tackle Maason Smith, who injured his knee earlier in the game while celebrating a tackle for loss.

Florida State was a 4-point underdog entering this game. The Seminoles are looking for their first 2-0 start to the season since 2016.
