Mike Norvell traveled in style to see a 5-star FSU commit in action on Friday night.

The Florida State HC traveled via helicopter to Colquitt County to see TE Landen Thomas. Thomas is an FSU commit and is rated as the No. 1 TE in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite ranking.

Thomas’ Colquitt County Packers defeated the Lee County Trojans by a score of 37-20 with Norvell in attendance.

Thomas was heavily recruited by Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas, among others. The young TE was originally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs but decommitted back in April. That same day, Thomas announced his intention to enroll at Florida State. The talented TE was a huge get for the Noles, who boast the No. 6 class in the nation for 2024.

Norvell’s Noles will welcome the Southern Miss Golden Eagles to town on Saturday night. Norvell’s team is looking to build off an impressive Week 1 performance in which LSU was defeated 45-24.
