Mike Norvell and Florida State received all it could handle on Saturday as they slipped past Boston College 31-29.

More often than not, games between the 2 teams have been tight in recent years. Four of the last 5 games have been 1-possession games; the Seminoles, however, dominated proceedings last year in Tallahassee via a 44-14 win.

But a close win is a win nonetheless, and the Noles are 3-0 and ranked No. 3 in the country as they avoided what would have been a massive blow to their early College Football Playoff hopes. They’ll travel to Clemson next to take on the Tigers.

After the win against the Eagles, Norvell addressed his team with a stirring postgame speech:

The Seminoles’ edge wasn’t as sharp on Saturday, but they remained unbeaten. They now face a Clemson team that they’ve lost to in the last 7 tries. Kickoff from Death Valley is set for noon ET on ABC.
