Mike Norvell shared an encouraging update on Florida State’s injured wide receiving corps on Saturday night.

The Noles defeated Pitt 24-7 on Saturday despite having a thing group of receivers available for the contest. Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, Hykeem Williams and Deuce Spann all were unavailable vs. the Panthers.

Norvell said Coleman is expected to be back in the lineup “extremely soon,” which seems like a good sign for his chances to play in Week 11 vs. Miami.

Norvell also said Wilson, Williams and Spann are progressing toward a return, but didn’t share a specific timeline.

Coleman and Wilson have been FSU’s top receivers so far this season. Coleman has 38 catches for 58 yards and 9 touchdowns. Wilson has 25 receptions for 415 yards and 2 touchdowns.

With Coleman and Wilson out, it was Ja’Khi Douglas who stepped up on Saturday vs. Pitt. He caught 6 passes for 115 yards in the victory. FSU also focused heavily on its trio of tight ends — Jaheim Bell, Kyle Morlock and Markeston Douglas — as Jordan Travis threw for a season high 360 yards.

Florida State will look to close out an undefeated ACC slate next weekend against Miami.
