Florida State coach Mike Norvell spoke about the status of quarterback Jordan Travis at his weekly press conference on Monday morning.

Norvell sounded optimistic about the tests that Travis had this weekend on his injured left leg. He said he “feels pretty good” about the reports FSU received on Travis and other key players such as Jared Verse, Robert Scott Jr. and Malcolm Ray.

He said Travis will be evaluated during the week.

Travis was injured during Florida State’s 35-31 win over Louisville on Friday night. He was unable to return to the game in the second half, but backup QB Tate Rodemaker played very well in Travis’ absence.

He was on crutches and wearing a boot on his left foot on the sideline at Cardinal Stadium. However, early Sunday morning, Travis tweeted an encouraging message regarding his injury.

Travis completed his first 11 passes of the game vs. Louisville. He’s been much-improved as a passer so far this season, leading Florida State to its first 3-0 start since 2015.

Florida State will face Boston College in Week 4.
