Mike Norvell has an update on Winston Wright Jr.

Wright was one of the most-highly anticipated transfer portal grabs for Florida State this past offseason. Wright is a playmaker, reeling in 63 catches for 688 yards and 5 touchdowns at West Virginia last season before transferring to Florida State.

Wright hasn’t had the opportunity to show the ‘Noles what he can do on the field, as the WR suffered injuries in an offseason  car accident.

On Tuesday, Norvell once again discussed the WR, saying Wright’s “continuing in his process to getting back.”

“His heart and determination is really special,” Norvell said.

Wright’s leg was injured, and required surgery, which he had in the offseason. It was unknown if Wright would start for Florida State this season, as head coach Mike Norvell stated Wright would “miss an extended period of time” with the team back in the spring.

Wright’s experience and playmaking abilities are certainly something the Noles can use right now. Florida State has dropped their last 3 contests to Wake Forest, NC State, and Clemson.

Florida State is off in Week 8 and will face Georgia Tech in Week 9.
