Mike Norvell gives update on Jordan Travis ahead of Miami game
Florida State coach Mike Norvell commented on the status of starting quarterback Jordan Travis on Monday.
Travis missed FSU’s game vs. NC State over the weekend with a reported illness. Travis is still No. 1 on the Seminoles’ depth chart, but it sounds like his status could still be in question vs. the Hurricanes.
“We’re going to see how the week progresses,” Norvell told reporters at his weekly press conference. “He was in pretty tough shape this past week.”

McKenzie Milton filled in for Travis. He completed 22-of-44 passes for 233 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. The Seminoles scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, but were unable to do much else offensively. NC State won 28-14.
A healthy Travis would give the Seminoles their best chance to upset Miami on Saturday. They need to win their final three games in order to reach bowl eligibility.
So far this season, Travis has completed 62.9 percent of his passes for 812 yards, 11 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 340 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
