Mike Norvell, Jordan Travis react to Jared Verse's return
Mike Norvell and Florida State are gearing up for a huge season in 2023.
The Noles were already set to return key players at several positions. But the announcement that Jared Verse is also coming back to FSU for another season could bring the program’s offseason hype to a new level.
Shortly after Verse made his announcement, Norvell shared his reaction on Twitter:
🤝Great Day to be a Florida State Seminole!!!! #Playmaker @JaredVerse1 is running it back! Been a great week seeing the #NoleFamily and #Tribe 23 come together! Monday the #CLIMB continues! Future is bright in Tallahassee! https://t.co/J5AOur9kBU

Verse was one of the ACC’s best defensive players in 2022. He made 17 tackles for loss and 9 sacks over the course of his 1st season in Tallahassee. Those numbers put him near the top of the league in both categories.
Quarterback Jordan Travis also reacted to Verse’s return — albeit in a more subtle way.
Here’s Travis’ reaction:

Florida State is expected to be amongst the favorites to win the ACC next season. The Noles took a big step forward in 2022, winning 10 games for the first time since 2016. They also qualified for a bowl game for the first time in the Mike Norvell era.
FSU will be looking to make it back to the College Football Playoff in 2023. The Seminoles haven’t been on that stage since 2014.
