Florida State played in front of its first sold-out crowd since 2015 on Saturday night, and the Seminoles rewarded the home fans for their effort.

FSU won 44-14 over Boston College, and the game wasn’t nearly that close. The Seminoles were dominant until they decided to rest their starters midway through the third quarter. Boston College gained only 64 yards of offense and did not pass midfield in the first half.

After the game, coach Mike Norvell complimented FSU’s electric atmosphere.

“What a night. What an incredible, incredible atmosphere. That’s what college football is about. Our fans, that was special,” Norvell told reporters after the game.

Florida State should have a chance at another sellout next week as it hosts Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons will be coming off an overtime loss to Clemson in Week 4.

That game starts a streak of 3 exceptionally-tough opponents for Florida State. FSU will follow that clash up with games against NC State and Clemson.

Florida State and Wake Forest’s kickoff time has not yet been announced.
