Mike Norvell says Florida State has been working on ‘alternate plans’ due to Hurricane Ian

Mike Norvell said Florida State has alternate plans in place for the impending hurricane that is set to hit Florida.

Florida State is set to host Wake Forest on Saturday, but the game could be impacted by Hurricane Ian’s arrival this week. Norvell noted that the school talked with the ACC about other options for the game.

“We are prepping for this game. We will have plans in place in case anything does happen,” Norvell said.

This is a pivotal game for both teams and Florida State is preparing for a game on Saturday. In the past, games impacted by storms have either been relocated or rescheduled to a later date.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Hurricane Ian is expected to become a major hurricane on Monday night and could start to impact the region as early as Wednesday.

Florida State went to 4-0 on the season with a 44-14 over Boston College in Week 4. Wake Forest suffered an overtime loss to Clemson over the weekend.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
