Mike Norvell takes helicopter to visit elite RB recruit during Florida State’s bye week

Mike Norvell and his staff have hit the recruiting trail this week, and the Florida State head coach is apparently traveling in style.

Norvell arrived at Edgewater High School in Orlando on Thursday afternoon in a helicopter. He was there to visit with 4-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr.

Here’s a clip of Norvell leaving his helicopter at Edgewater. Florida State’s fight song is playing over speakers in the background as well:

Baxter has become a priority target for the Seminoles. He grew up a Florida State fan and was once committed to FSU as well. However, he’s currently committed to Texas.

Still, the Noles seem to have a chance to flipping the 4-star running back. He was in Tallahassee for Florida State’s matchup vs. Clemson last weekend. His proximity to FSU’s campus could lead to another visit before the end of the year.

If Florida State is able to flip Baxter, it would be a huge pickup for the Seminoles. Baxter ranks as the No. 47 overall player and the No. 4 running back in the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings

.

Norvell and his coaching staff are expected to visit several recruits over the coming days while the Noles are on bye.
