Mike Norvell met with reporters on Monday for his weekly press conference to preview the Pitt game.

Norvell was asked about FSU’s receiver health and depth entering Week 10. Last week, the Noles were without three key wideouts in Johnny Wilson, Destyn Hill and Hykeem Williams due to injury. That caused other receivers such as Kentron Poitier and Ja’khi Douglas to have an increased role vs. Wake Forest.

Norvell gave a brief update on the status of the injured trio going into the week.

“I think as we’re looking into this week, as it gets a little bit further down we’ll have a better clue of the availability,” Norvell said. “I know Johnny was out yesterday and got a chance to get some practice in. So we’ll see what that looks likes as his week progresses.

“I know Destyn and Hykeem are both going through their process, and you’ll see what that looks like as we get to Tuesday.”

Wilson is obviously the big name of the trio as he’s become one of the most-feared wide receivers in the country over the past couple of seasons. However, he’s dealt with injuries in the past couple weeks. FSU will be hoping to get him back to 100% health in time for the stretch run in late November.

Keon Coleman has also continued to be an elite target for the Noles. He has 38 catches for 538 yards and 9 touchdowns already this season.

Florida State will face Pitt on Saturday.
