Florida State is staying aggressive on the recruiting trail in the class of 2023.

According to 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong, that includes prospects who are currently committed to other programs.

Wiltfong said Tuesday that Florida State is still pursuing 4-star Penn State commit Conrad Hussey and 4-star Clemson commit Kylen Webb.

“Florida State, they’re talking to a lot of guys that are committed elsewhere,” Wiltfong said. “I think a lot of recruits that are committed elsewhere are picking up the phone for Florida State.”

Hussey and Webb are both from the state of Florida. Hussey attends St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale. Webb, who has been committed to Clemson since June 8, is from Riverview, Fla.

Either of those players would be major additions to FSU’s 2023 class. Hussey is the No. 287 overall player and the No. 27 safety in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The same service ranks Webb as the No. 405 overall player and the No. 28 athlete nationally.

FSU currently has 15 commitments in the class of 2023 and is trending in a good direction for 5-star receiver Hykeem Williams.

The Early Signing Period begins in December.
