Paul Finebaum said he believes Florida State should be left out of the College Football Playoff if both Alabama and Texas win this weekend.

FSU came in at No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings this weekend, ahead of both No. 7 Texas and No. 8 Alabama. However, both of those programs have a path to getting to 12-1 this season with wins on conference championship weekend. Of course, the Longhorns have a big edge in the debate between those two programs because of Texas’ win in Tuscaloosa from back in September.

Finebaum was asked on ‘Get Up’ on Wednesday morning to evaluate who should have the edge between the Longhorns and Crimson Tide. Instead, he spoke about why he thinks both teams should be in over Florida State if they were to win vs. Georgia and Oklahoma State, respectively, on Saturday.

“I know what everyone wants to say and I don’t want to upset my dear friend Heather [Dinich], but I don’t really care about the argument that Florida State is undefeated Power 5 champion,” Finebaum said. “I mean, so what? They’re beating Louisville which lost to a pedestrian Kentucky team last week.”

Florida State is 12-0 on the year, which includes wins over a pair of SEC teams in LSU and Florida. The Noles also have a ranked road win over Clemson and would have another top-25 victory over Louisville if they win the ACC Championship on Saturday.

Kickoff between Florida State and Louisville is set for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
