Paul Finebaum shares picks for CFP top 4, explains Florida State's placement
Paul Finebaum has Florida State included in his top 4 rankings after the Noles beat Pitt 24-7 on Saturday.
Finebaum shared his top 4 on Sunday morning after the events of Week 10. He has Florida State at No. 4 this week behind No. 3 Michigan, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 1 Georgia.
Finebaum noted FSU’s relatively easy path — at this point in the schedule — to a 12-0 regular season.
“They struggled a little bit and then put the opponent away yesterday with Pittsburgh,” Finebaum said on SportsCenter. “They have Miami coming in, that’s not really going to get their attention. They really have a cake-walk, maybe to the ACC Championship Game.”
Florida State has already clinched a spot in the ACC title game where it will, in all likelihood, meet Louisville. The Cardinals are 8-1 on the season and look to be a formidable threat to FSU in the ACC Championship Game.
If Louisville wins the remainder of its regular season games, it’s possible the ACC title game will be a top-10 showdown with Florida State having a chance to clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.
But first, FSU will host Miami next weekend at 3:30 p.m. ET.
