Florida State QB McKenzie Milton is expected to start for the Seminoles vs. North Carolina State on Saturday, according to a report.

That’s per 247Sports’ Brendan Sonnone, who says starter Jordan Travis is expected to miss the game with an illness. A strain of influenza is apparently impacting the Florida State football program.

This will be Milton’s first game action since Sept. 25. He completed 24-of-39 passes for 254 yards in a loss to Louisville. He was replaced with Travis following FSU’s 0-4 start to the season.

So far this season, Milton has completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 548 yards, 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

The Seminoles are a little light on quarterback depth this week after Chubba Purdy opted to enter the transfer portal. Tate Rodemaker is the only other scholarship quarterback on the roster.

Florida State will be trying to play spoiler to North Carolina State on Saturday. The Wolfpack are in contention for an ACC division crown while the Seminoles are hoping to reach bowl eligibility.

North Carolina State has won three of the last four meetings in this series. FSU is 26-14 all-time vs. NC State.
