Florida State quarterback commit Chris Parson will be taking a visit to Mississippi State this summer, according to a report.

That’s per NoleGameday’s Dustin Lewis, who notes that both of Parson’s parents are Mississippi State alumni. Lewis’ report also says that Parson will not work out for the Bulldogs’ coaching staff. The unofficial visit is expected to take place next weekend.

This would be Parson’s first visit to another school since he committed to Florida State in July of 2021.

Parson was present in Tallahassee this weekend for Florida State’s Elite camp, which included numerous top prospects from around the region.

Parson spoke with local media in Tallahassee on Saturday and certainly seemed comfortable with his position in Florida State’s recruiting class. He praised both offensive coordinator Alex Atkins and quarterbacks coach Tony Tokarz.

He’s the No. 15 overall quarterback in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The 4-star prospect attends Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Last week, Parson earned an invite to the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles later this summer.

Parson is one of 6 current commits in Florida State’s 2023 recruiting class.
