Stanford Steve joined ACC Network’s Eric Mac Lain to talk about the favorite to win the ACC this upcoming season. Stanford Steve made his pick on Monday.

When asked if Florida State is the favorite to win the conference, Stanford Steve answered that he believes the Seminoles should be.

Mike Norvell led the Seminoles to a 10-win season in 2022 where they snapped a three-game losing to in-state rival Florida. Other highlights include beating SEC runner-up LSU in the season opener and Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl.

After picking Florida State as his favorite to win the ACC, Stanford Steve was also asked about how the Seminoles will fair early into their 2023 schedule.

In the first four games of the season Florida State faces LSU and Clemson.

Mac Lain wanted to know if Stanford Steve thought that Florida State could exit September at 2-2 or 4-0. Stanford Steve said that 4-0 is “more likely” than 2-2 after the first four games.

Mac Lain noted that Florida State did not beat a single ranked team in 2022 despite winning 10 games.

If Norvell is able to get out of September with a win over LSU and Clemson, it would go a long way for Seminole fans. Fans will have to wait until the season starts to see if Stanford Steve’s prediction comes true.
