Finally, at last, Florida State has a kickoff return touchdown.

Trey Benson got things going on Saturday night vs. Boston College with a 93-yard kickoff return touchdown. He broke multiple tackles on the way to the end zone.

Here’s a look:

That’s Florida State’s first kickoff return touchdown since the 2013 season. The Noles returned the opening kick of the 2014 BCS National Championship Game vs. Auburn for a TD.

Back in fall camp, FSU special teams coordinator John Papuchis admitted to nearly running a red light while day-dreaming about the Noles scoring on a kickoff. “That’s a longtime overdue,” Papuchis said at the time.

Florida State is playing in front of a sold-out crowd at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday night. The Seminoles are back home for the first time since Week 0.

FSU is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2015. That was also the last time the Noles won 10+ games in a single season. They’ll be looking to improve to 4-0 on Saturday night vs. a Boston College team that has struggled vs. FBS opposition so far this season.
