Aaron Philo, 2024 QB from Georgia, announces ACC commitment

Aaron Philo is staying home to play in the ACC.

The Prince Avenue Christian School quarterback has committed to play for Georgia Tech. Philo shared the big news on Thursday via his Twitter account.

Philo is listed as measuring 6-2, 200 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Philo is rated 3-stars, the No. 62 quarterback, No. 104 Peach State product and No. 1,009 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.

In March, Philo took an unofficial visit to Minnesota and committed to play for P.J. Fleckā€™s program. In April, however, he had a change of heart and decommitted from the Gophers

Since the decommitment, Philo added offers from Middle Tennessee State, Cincinnati, UAB and Indiana. He visited Georgia Tech on April 15.

As a junior, Philo posted a 70% completion rate while throwing for 4,598 yard and 54 touchdowns. Highlights from that season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
