Former Georgia Tech TE suffers torn ACL during NFL preseason, per report

Tyler Davis, a current Green Bay Packers tight end and former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket, suffered a torn ACL during the Packers’ preseason matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals Friday evening.

Davis has been in the league since being selected in the 6th Round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s since played for the Colts and landed with the Packers in 2021, working mostly on special teams. Last year, Davis totaled 4 receptions for 61 yards.

Davis scored a touchdown Friday night for the Packers and, unfortunately, tore his ACL less than a half later.

If only we could abolish preseason injuries.
