Josh Pastner is reportedly out as Georgia Tech’s head coach.
Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports that the school is moving on from Pastner after 7 seasons in Atlanta.
Pastner was hired by Georgia Tech in April 2016. The Yellow Jackets went 109-113, posting a 51-77 mark in ACC play, during Pastner’s 7-season tenure.
Georgia Tech reached postseason play twice under Pastner. In 2016-17, Pastner’s first season, the Yellow Jackets were the NIT runner-up. Georgia Tech’s only NCAA Tournament berth in the past 7 seasons came in 2020-21. The Y
ellow Jackets also had a winning record in 2019-20 (17-14, 11-9 ACC), but were under a postseason band (the NCAA Tournament was ultimately canceled due to COVID-19).
This past season, Georgia Tech went 15-18 overall. The Yellow Jackets finished 13th in the ACC with a 6-14 mark in conference play.
