Logan Weighall, an elite kicker and punter, has announced a commitment to play in the ACC.

Weighall, who is from Wetumpka, Alabama, committed to Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-1 and 180 pounder had other known offers from Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Birmingham Southern College and Harding University.

The Wetumpka Herald reported that Weighall punted the ball 46 times for an average of 40 yards per punt and downed 21 inside the 20-yard line. He kicked off 61 times for an average of 58.6 yards and 35 touchbacks. On PATs, he knocked in 35 of 37 attempts and hit 6 of his 9 field goal attempts, including a school-record 49-yard field goal.

Weighall recently attended a Kohl’s ranking event in October of 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He had a solid camp as a combo specialist and hit multiple 64+ yard kickoffs which showed us that he has the leg talent required to play at the next level. Weighall attended the Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2022. He had some impressive punts at the event and hit multiple 47-yard hits. Weighall competed at the Kohl’s Southern Showcase in May of 2022. He continues to show great ball striking ability on his punts and averaged over 45 yards during the charting phase of camp. Weighall has tremendous athleticism, and he had another strong showing at the 2022 Future Stars Event. He has explosive hips and when his rhythm is on for punting, is without a doubt one of the better punters in the 2023 class. Over half of his punts were 50+ with a big ball of 57 yards with 4.16 seconds of hang time. He scored 7 points in the field goal charting and hit a big ball of 62 yards with 3.5 seconds of hang time. Weighall had great all-around camp at the 2021 December Southern Showcase. He charted 9 points in the field goal charting portion of camp and was able to hit a big ball of 64 yards with 3.46 seconds of hang time.
