Report: ACC program fires head coach after Week 4

Georgia Tech is moving on from head coach Geoff Collins, according to a report.

The Yellow Jackets fell to 1-3 on the season this weekend, losing to UCF on the road. Their only victory in 2022 came against Western Carolina in Week 2.

247Sports’ Bryce Koon was first to report Collins’ ousting:

Koon’s report has been confirmed by numerous outlets.

Collins went 10-28 in 3+ years as Georgia Tech’s head coach. He never won more than 3 games in a single season. He went 7-19 in ACC play.

Georgia Tech still has an extremely difficult slate of games remaining on its schedule. The Yellow Jackets are set to play Pittsburgh, Florida State, North Carolina, Georgia and numerous other ACC opponents.

Georgia Tech has not yet confirmed Collins’ firing, but the administration has scheduled a meeting for Monday regarding the status of the football program and athletic director Todd Stansbury.

Georgia Tech faces Pittsburgh in Week 5.
