Cursed Cards? Social media reacts to Louisville's hard-fought, heartbreaking loss to Texas
Louisville came up just short against No. 19 Texas.
The Cardinals fought hard against the Longhorns at Madison Squad Garden in New York City. The Cardinals, which looked dreadful this season prior to Sunday’s game, actually led by 1 point with under 10 seconds remaining.
That’s when 2021 March Madness darling Max Abmas pulled some more rabbits out of his hat.
Abmas drove to his spot on the floor and hit a well-contested fadeaway over Skyy Clark, who had perhaps his best game as a Cardinal Sunday.

You’d expect fans across social media to roast Kenny Payne and the Cardinals after another loss, but the response was overwhelmingly positive, and for good reason. The Cardinals walk away with a loss, but that might have been the best-played game of the Payne era at Louisville.
Others just think the Cardinals are cursed altogether.
