Koron Davis, Louisville basketball player, disputes statement from school that he intends to transfer
Koron Davis’ position in the Louisville basketball program is in-question following a pair of conflicting statements on Wednesday afternoon.
First, Louisville released an official statement saying that Davis has left the team and intends to transfer. Here is the statement put out by the program:

A little over an hour later, Davis shared a message on social media disputing Louisville’s position that he has left the team. Davis said he “enjoys being a Cardinal” and never asked to transfer from Louisville.
Here’s Davis’ post:
I didn’t express to anyone at U of Louisville that I wanted to transfer. I never asked to transfer. I enjoy being a Cardinal. The fact an official statement was released giving false information is disheartening and sad.

Davis is in his first season with Louisville. Davis also shared Wednesday that he has completed the fall semester at Louisville in good standing academically. He said he would be at the Yum! Center on Wednesday night to support his teammates against Arkansas State.
Davis has not played in a game yet for Louisville this season. He previously attended Los Angeles Southwest College (JUCO) before committing to Louisville this past offseason.
Louisville is scheduled to play Arkansas State at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday night.
