Louisville adds transfer commitment from former Harvard DL
Louisville football added a defensive lineman out of the transfer portal Sunday morning.
The Cardinals ‘s new addition hails from the Ivy League, Harvard. Thor Griffin, who has played for the Crimson across the past 4 seasons, is a veteran presence and totaled 25 tackles with 3.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble this past season. In 2022, Griffin finished with 5 sacks.
And that number isn’t set to go down just because he’s transferring up a level. Don’t let the Harvard tag fool you, Griffin is a freight train for opposing offensive lines.
The senior, if he has a strong showing in ACC play, should be a top defensive lineman selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a 3-time first-team All-Ivy league and earned All-American honors at the FCS level this past season.
Griffin originally hails from New Hampshire and stands at 6-2, 305 pounds.
