Louisville won a back-and-forth contest on the road at Miami on Saturday afternoon.

The win gives the Cardinals their seventh ACC victory of the season. More importantly, it ensures that Louisville will be playing against Florida State in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte on Dec. 2.

This will be the first ACC Championship Game appearance for the Cardinals in program history. It comes during the first season of the Jeff Brohm era.

Jack Plummer had one of his best games of the season vs. the Hurricanes. He threw for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns in the victory. His day included a 58-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Coleman with just over 4 minutes remaining that turned out to be the game-winner.

Louisville’s defense stood tall with a goal line stand against Miami in the game’s final minutes. After getting the stop, Miami did have one final chance. Tyler Van Dyke found Xavier Restrepo on a hail marry, but he was stopped short of the goal line with no time left on the clock.
