This is a huge loss for the Cardinals. Clark has been one of the ACC’s best defensive players this season, already racking up 3 interceptions, 40 tackles and 9 pass deflections.
Clark was also exceptional in 2020. Last season, he made 36 tackles, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble and 10 pass deflections in 10 games. He was named 2nd team All-ACC for his efforts.
Louisville is 4-4 on the season but still has a chance to make a bowl game. However, the window is closing quickly — the Cardinals still have to face Clemson and a ranked Kentucky team to close out the year.
Kick off vs. the Tigers is at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
