Louisville gains 2024 commitment from 4-star WR, former SEC pledge
Louisville is set to face Virginia Tech on Saturday at L&N Stadium in a game with massive ramifications in the ACC standings.
Off the field, the Cardinals received good news from the recruiting trail as a key wide receiver has committed to the program. Joseph Stone Jr., a WR from the Atlanta area, revealed his decision on Saturday afternoon.
Stone previously pledged to LSU in June 2022 while saying that his “recruitment was not closed”. That turned out to be foreshadowing as on Oct. 17, he announced that he would reopen his recruitment.
Stone is rated as a 4-star by 247Sports and is considered the No. 46 wideout by its composite rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 34 player in the state of Georgia.
The Cardinals’ 2024 recruiting class now sits at 15 players with Stone’s commitment. He is the 2nd wide receiver to pledge to Jeff Brohm’s program, joining in-state product Shaun Boykin Jr.
