Louisville lands commitment from 4-star linebacker

Louisville picked up another major commitment on Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals received a verbal commitment from 4-star linebacker Stanquan Clark. He chose Louisville over offers from programs like Miami, Auburn, Michigan, Kentucky, NC State and more.

Here’s his announcement:

Clark is the No. 318 overall player and the No. 22 linebacker in the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 62 player from the state of Florida.

He’s a Miami native, making this an even more impressive pickup for Louisville’s staff. He visited the Hurricanes back in the spring. He’s also taken trips to Kentucky and NC State this summer, but his official visit to Louisville clearly made an impact.

Louisville’s 2023 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory for this program. The Cardinals are now up to 14 commitments this cycle, with 8 of those coming from blue-chip prospects. The group is led by 5-star running back Rueben Owens.

Here are some of Clark’s highlights from his high school career:
