Louisville added a major piece of its 2024 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals landed a commitment from 3-star linebacker Trent Carter.

Carter chose Louisville over offers from programs such as Pitt, Coastal Carolina and App State.

He’s ranked as the No. 105 linebacker in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 152 player from the state of Florida.

Carter attends The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 216 pounds.

Louisville is now up to 8 commitment in this cycle. Its class is led by 4-star EDGE TJ Capers. Louisville has been targeting the Sunshine State, as 4 of its 8 pledges in this class so far come from Florida.

Overall, Louisville’s class ranks No. 22 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
