Louisville and Arizona are the final 2 remaining schools standing in the recruitment of Newport Coast (Calif.) Sage Hill forward Carter Bryant.

Bryant announced on Monday that he had trimmed his list of more than 20 offers down to just 2 suitors. He’s coming off an official visit to Arizona last week and took an official to see Louisville last November. The small forward is a 5-star prospect and a top-15 recruit in the 2024 class.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Bryant ranks as the No. 11 overall recruit in the country for the 2024 cycle, according to the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s the No. 1 recruit from the state of California and the No. 5 prospect at his position.

Bryant recently completed his junior year at Sage Hill, helping to lead the school to the CIF Southern Section Division 4A title game. He had 22 points and 16 rebounds in a loss to Long Beach Jordan.

On the heels of a dreadful 2022-23 season, Louisville’s recruiting is looking to provide a shot in the arm. The 2024 class features 1 known commit — 3-star point guard TJ Robinson — while the 2023 class features a trio of 4-stars in a top-15 class.

With a 0.9950 Composite score, Bryant would be the 3rd-highest-rated recruit for Louisville in the internet recruiting era.
