Louisville reportedly losing key receiver to NCAA transfer portal

Louisville is getting ready for its first season under new head coach Jeff Brohm, who came over from Purdue this offseason.

When the Cardinals kick off the 2023 campaign, their offense may look quite different due to transfer portal losses and additions.

On Monday, it was reported that WR Braden Smith, a contributor on the 2022 Louisville squad, had entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal:

Smith finished the 2

022 season with 21 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown while playing in all 13 games for the Cardinals.

He played 3 years at Louisville after transferring from Northwest Mississippi Community College out of the JUCO ranks. He’ll have 1 year of eligibility remaining wherever he ends up.
