Louisville will not have star cornerback Jarvis Brownlee on Saturday vs. Miami, according to a report.

247Sports’ Matt Zenitz was first to share that news on Friday evening. Brownlee has not played for the Cardinals since Oct. 28 but could return in time for the Kentucky game next weekend, according to Zenitz’s report.

Brownlee is one of Louisville’s most impactful defensive players when healthy. He has 21 tackles, 4 pass deflections and 1 fumble recovery in 8 games so far this season. Brownlee, who is in his fifth season of college football, has 5 interceptions and 20 pass deflections in his career.

His absence is big news for Miami, who will be looking to play spoiler on Saturday. The Hurricanes have a strong receiving corps that is led by breakout star Jacolby George. George is coming off of one of the best games of his career last week as he had 5 catches for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns vs. Florida State.

Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is expected to return to the starting lineup this week.

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
