Louisville will honor the No. 99 jersey of former star defensive end Dewayne White during its game against Clemson on Saturday.

The program announced that news on Thursday morning, adding White’s jersey will be the 25th to be honored in school history.

White played for the Cardinals from 2000-02. He led the team in sacks and tackles for loss in back-to-back seasons and was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Season in 2001.

He finished his collegiate career with 37.5 sacks and 56.5 tackles for loss, which still stand as all-time program records. He was also a two-time All Conference USA performer for the Cardinals.

After his college career was over, White was selected with the No. 64 overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Detroit Lions. He totaled 27 sacks, 37 tackles for loss and 11 fumble recoveries in his NFL career.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
