Bissainthe is the No. 196 overall player in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also rated as the No. 20 linebacker in the country.
He chose the Hurricanes over offers from programs like Florida State, Penn State and West Virginia.
His commitment bumps Miami up to nine commitments this cycle. The class ranks No. 56 nationally and No. 10 in the ACC, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Bissainthe’s choice comes as Miami’s head coaching situation is in doubt. The Hurricanes are reportedly pursuing Oregon coach Mario Cristobal, but they haven’t yet parted ways with coach Manny Diaz. Miami is also reportedly trying to hire Clemson athletic director Dan Radakovich.
The Early Signing Period begins on Dec. 15.
