Charleston Rambo sets multiple program records in win over Duke

Charleston Rambo has officially turned in one of the best seasons by a Miami receiver in program history.

He broke Miami’s single-season receiving yardage and receptions records on Saturday afternoon in a 47-10 win over Duke. He entered the day needing 2 receptions for 92 yards to break the record, and he easily surpasses those marks.

Rambo finished with 8 catches for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s now up to 79 receptions and 1,171 yards this season, breaking records set by Leonard Hankerson and Allen Hurns, respectively.

Here’s the play that set the yardage record:

“Charleston Rambo is All-ACC, if not an All-American candidate,” coach Manny Diaz said after the game. “His emergence c

hanged our offense.”

Rambo has now recorded at least 95 receiving yards in 6 consecutive games. His emergence has coincided with that of quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who now has 6 straight games of 300+ yards and 3 touchdowns.

Miami is bowl-eligible, so Rambo will have a chance to build on his records in the postseason. He also still has one year of eligibility remaining, so he could be back for another season with the Hurricanes in 2022.
