There have already been several interesting storylines during this CFB season, including a return to prominence for historic programs like Miami, Colorado, and Texas.

On Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff, Chris “The Bear” Fallica was asked whether the Miami Hurricanes are officially back. The question is interesting now that the Canes have started 3-0, including a dominant win over Texas A&M.

“They ARE back, but I don’t know if Brady (Quinn) remembers 2017, what happened in South Florida.” Fallica, of course, is referring to the 41-8 victory for the Hurricanes over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

“There’s no reason why this team can’t be in the ACC conversation,” declared Fallica. The FOX Sports analyst also mentioned that this team doesn’t feel “fake good,” like the 2017 and 2020 Miami teams. Notably, the 2017 Hurricanes started off 10-0 before losing to Pittsburgh and Clemson to end the regular season. In 2020, the team got off to a hot 3-0 start before being demolished by Clemson again and having all momentum killed.

The Hurricanes played on Thursday, handily defeating Bethune-Cookman by a score of 48-7. The team will have one more non-conference game next weekend against the Temple Owls before kicking off ACC play.
