Miami fell to 3-4 on the season on Saturday afternoon as it got blown out by Duke 45-21 at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Canes turned the ball over an astounding 8 times — 4 in each half.

During his halftime interview, Mario Cristobal addressed the Canes’ turnover problem in the first half. He said there was “no excuse for it” and was clearly frustrated by the situation.

The Canes then responded with back-to-back touchdowns to re-take the lead in the 3rd quarter, but everything went downhill from there for Miami.

The Canes turned it over 4 more times in the second half. They lost 5 fumbles and backup quarterback Jake Garcia tossed 3 interceptions in the loss.

Miami’s 8 turnovers is the most by a Power 5 team since the 2009 season. Nebraska turned it over 8 times against Iowa State on Oct. 24, 2009. The Huskers lost that game, 9-7.

Shortly after the game, college football fans were quick to mock the Canes for their turnover-marred day in Miami Gardens.

Here’s the best of that reaction:
