ESPN shares new bowl projections for Miami after Week 4
ESPN has published its bowl projections for Miami following Week 4.
The Hurricanes are coming off of another big win. They defeated Temple 41-7 on the road over the weekend, moving to 4-0 on the season.
ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach are both projecting Miami to reach the postseason.
Bonagura is predicting Miami will face Oregon State in the Holiday Bowl. This would be the Hurricanes’ first-ever appearance in the Holiday Bowl.
It would also be Miami’s first-ever meeting against Oregon State in football.
Schlabach is projecting Miami to face Tennessee in the ReliaQuest Bowl (formerly known as the Outback Bowl). The Hurricanes have not appeared in that bowl game either, which is traditionally played between teams from the SEC and Big Ten.
Miami is 1-2 all-time against the Vols. Those programs last met in 2003. They split a home-and-home series in 2002-03, with the road team winning both games. Tennessee also defeated Miami back in 1986.
Miami will be idle in Week 5.
